The college library was established with the college’s inception in 1995 on the ground floor. Present (New) library is situated on the 2 nd floor in the college. The total area of the new library is 2440sq ft. Separate reading room build with keeping in mind proper ventilation and natural sunlight. The beautiful view of surrounding natural beauties encourages readers for spending maximum time in the library for reading. The library has a separate research cell for serious readers and research scholars, a separate stack room of books stock, and a separate issue-return (lending counter) & e-library desk is the main features of the new library.
More than 120 readers can seat and read in the library at a time. Library functions are partially automated with Ezeecom library software. The library is having a good no of Encyclopedias, dictionaries, References, Religious, storybooks, textbooks in its collections Library regularly subscribes to Journals, magazines and periodicals, and Newspapers for its users.
The library facilitates the teachers and staff members of the college, Junior college students, senior college students, and post-graduate (M.Com /M.A) students also. The library opens from 8.00 am to 3.40 pm on all working days from Monday to Saturday.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF LIBRARY –

  1. To cultivate the reading habits in the minds of students/readers, books are to be made available.
  2. To provide the textbooks and reference books to the deserving and desirous students/readers.  
  3. To make available the reading material required for the competitive examinations to the students.
  4. To provide the extension service to students/readers by providing them books, Periodicals, etc on a loan basis.

LIBRARY FACILITIES –

  1. Separate reading room for students and staff.     

Reading Room Facility – The library has a very large reading room, at a time 120 students are seated for study. It is open from 8 a.m. to 3.40 p.m. regularly.

  1. New arrivals list is published/displayed on the notice board /circulated in staff, students by using social media.  
  2. Separate reading room for research scholar-serious readers.
  3. Open access system for those who are interested.
  4. Easy and simple subjective arrangement of books for easy retrieving. 
  5. Lending service – The library is issuing every student one book for a week on a library ticket /card.

  8. Newspaper reading service /readers can read Newspaper in the reading room and old issues are available on demand.

For E-sources, Library provides with internet node for staff and students, our library is a member of the INFLIBNET N-List program for the last five years, so, 75000 e-books and 3800 e-journals are available for staff /students for free.

Library Head

Dr.Dinesh Annapap Sanadi has been in the library and information science profession since 2003, First class in Master in Library and Information Science. He has also cleared (UGC-NET) in Library and information science and (SET-MAHARASHTRA STATE). He is Ph.D. in Library Science from Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu -The topic of his Thesis is the Role Of Electronic Resources In Management College Libraries In Mumbai.  

 He is presently working as a Librarian at St.Joseph College of Arts & Commerce, Satpal, Virar (Maharashtra . India).affiliated with the University of Mumbai.

He has published several research papers in seminars, conferences at the National, International levels. 31 Research Papers are on his credit   (12 International, 17 National, and 2 State levels). 11 Research Papers have appeared in Journals in his name.(4 National , 7 International).He worked on the editorial board for three books. He is associated with 6 journals as a team member of the editorial board (3 National, 3 International.)

He delivered a series of lectures as a resource person at various institutions. In addition, he delivered special lectures in workshops for library professionals and students of Degree level courses (University of Mumbai)

He is associated with many associations and professional groups related to Library and information science.
